Breabach formed as students enjoying the thriving folk scene at
sessions and Ceilidhs in Glasgow. They come from all parts of Scotland and have a shared
love for playing traditional music.
The members of the band are all accomplished musicians and love to play live
gigs together. When these musicians do get a chance to play together their show
is not to be missed. They create an exciting, authentic sound with a blend of
Bagpipes, fiddle, whistle and guitar. Their combination of strong traditional
tunes with original arrangements produces a sound that will leave a lasting
impression. It is this sound that helped them achieve success at
Celtic Connections 'Danny Kyle Open Stage Competition' 2005.
