Strangetouch
started just over 2 years ago when Thomas McCallum picked up a guitar to get
some of the music floating around in his head down in some demo format, before
teaming up with Neil Stewart. The
first song he wrote was 'Nobody makes me feel like you do' and it just seems to
have gone on from there Their first gig was with the now infamous Kincaid live. THey have played along side musicians such as Eoghan Colgan, The Apsherons, Vivian Scotson & Patrick Bullen, and Forfars, in venues like The Ferry, Bar Bliss, Metropol Clydebank, Cosmopol Glasgow and Arragon Bar Glasgow Their influences vary from Sting to U2 , Kings of Leon, Tracey Chapman and loads of others Their
sound has been described in many ways from Indie pop to middle of the road. It
is heavily influenced by 80s alternative sound from bands such as Hue and Cry,
Orange Juice and all the other bands who had that Postcards records sound !!!! The aim for the future is to develop their sound and really just to enjoy what they are doing
Their
web site is www.myspace.com/strangetouch They
also have a you tube page with some live stuff and our video of “soul on fire
2009 “ |
